Environmental Policy

KB Group recognises and accepts that our activities have a harmful effect on both the local and global environment. For the benefit of all life on Earth, we are actively seeking to minimise these effects as much as we can.

We are committed to leading the industry in minimising the impact of our activities on the environment. This environmental policy is our commitment to minimising our impacts and continually improving our environmental performance during the course of our business.

We undertake regular reviews of our operations and we have identified several key areas where we have made improvements and where we can continue to improve.

Compliance with Legislation

We are committed to complying with, or exceeding, all environmental legislation applicable to our business operations and aim to encourage our customers and suppliers to do likewise.

Energy

We use energy for heating, lighting and powering computer hardware. We use energy efficient light bulbs, have installed double glazing on all windows and insulation on all existing pipework in our UK Head Office. We endeavour to only procure energy efficient appliances and products that minimise the environmental impact of both production and distribution. We will continue to monitor our energy consumption on a regular basis and implement energy efficiency measures where practical.

Resources and Waste

We are strong advocates of recycling and currently recycle all packaging we use. We only use paper from sustainable sources as governed by the Forest Stewardship Council. We reduce landfill contributions by sending all biodegradable waste to a local wormery. Our preference is to procure products with a minimum amount of packaging. We will continue to actively promote recycling both internally and amongst our customers and suppliers.

Pollution Prevention

All our staff use public transport on a daily basis. To avoid toxic emissions, we do not use company cars. We minimise waste by evaluating operations and ensuring they are as efficient as possible. We will implement measures to reduce potential risks of pollution to water, air and land by our business processes.

Communication

We train staff to work in accordance with this policy and enlist their support to help us achieve our aims. All staff receive information regarding this policy as part of their company orientation.

This policy statement will be reviewed annually and will be adapted to any future changes within our company or changes in legislation that apply to our business.

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!
